Biogas, as a traditional biomass energy source, is undergoing a profound identity transformation. In the past, biogas was often regarded as an ancillary product of livestock farms or sewage treatment plants, mainly used for inefficient combustion heating or simple power generation, with limited calorific value and extremely narrow application scope. However, with the maturity and popularization of biogas purification technology, this mixed gas containing saturated water vapor, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide is transforming into high calorific value "bio natural gas" and becoming a green pioneer in replacing fossil fuels.

The core value of biogas purification lies in "improving quality". In untreated crude biogas, the methane content is usually only between 50% and 65%, with the majority being carbon dioxide. This not only reduces the combustion heat value, but also corrodes equipment with impurities such as hydrogen sulfide. Through purification processes, methane concentration can be increased to 95% or even 98% or more, and biogas has physical and chemical properties that are completely consistent with conventional natural gas. This means that it is no longer limited to consumption in the production area, but can be directly integrated into urban gas pipelines or compressed into automotive fuel, completely opening up the energy channel from "fields and fields" to "thousands of households".

From the dual dimensions of economy and environment, this process has achieved a perfect closed loop. On the environmental side, it converts methane (a potent greenhouse gas) and organic waste that could have been directly emitted into clean energy, while the resulting sludge and slurry are high-quality organic fertilizers, truly embodying the concept of "turning waste into treasure" in circular agriculture. On the economic side, purified bio natural gas has higher market value and a wider sales radius, greatly enhancing the profitability of biogas projects and transforming them from purely subsidized environmental projects to self generating energy industries.
